Here are the steps to add the user in Lync group chat
1) Login to your Group chat server and locate the lync group chat admin tool or Install the Lync group chat admin tool on your system. You can download by going to the Microsoft site.
2) login to the Group chat Admin tool with your domain credentials.
3) Go to the Chat room where you want to add the user as a member.
4) Goto to members tab and then select the add button on the right.
5) a new window will pop up , search the user from AD list and add him as a member.
